Comment ca va, part 2

Please guys? Is there a reason that no one is commenting? Comments are what makes posting worth it. So please, comment.
Also, this is my 100th post!!! Here's quotes for you (you know how much i <3 quotes):
The Hatter
Why is a raven like a writing desk?

The Hatter
Twinkle, twinkle, little bat! How I wonder what you're at.

The Queen
Off with her head!

The Duchess
Tut, tut, child! Everything's got a moral, if only you can find it.

The Duchess
Take care of the sense, and the sounds will take care of themselves.

The Mock Turtle
We called him Tortoise because he taught us.

The Mock Turtle
Reeling and Writhing, of course, to begin with, and then the different branches of arithmetic -- Ambition, Distraction, Uglification, and Derision.

The Mock Turtle
Well, I never heard it before, but it sounds uncommon nonsense.

Yay!

thanks guys,
and

pics and other stuff

I'm very sorry for my lack of postage. I think I've broken my non-posting record. To make up for it, I'll post an extra long post today!

Aren't these pictures so pretty? I love them. They're taken by a high speed water camera made just for this kind of thing. Man, I wish I had one of those! :)

Homer is your favourite ancient greek! He wrote the epic poems, the Iliad and the Odyssey. Here are some Iliad and Odyssey quotes.

Look now how mortals are blaming the gods, for they say that evils come from us, but in fact they themselves have woes beyond their share because of their own follies.
(This is interesting...think about it for a while.)

He knew the things that were and the things that would be and the things that had been before.
(Why it's important to study History(my favourite subject (other than maybe chem) :D))

A generation of men is like a generation of leaves; the wind scatters some leaves upon the ground, while others the burgeoning wood brings forth - and the season of spring comes on. So of men one generation springs forth and another ceases.
(Does this mean that we cannot control our destiny?)

The gods, likening themselves to all kinds of strangers, go in various disguises from city to city, observing the wrongdoing and the righteousness of men.
(Be careful!!! That teacher you despise-just might be a god in disguise!)

That's all for Homer quotes, folks... stay tuned for more later (?)

I promise to post more often! I just had a busy week :)

Love,
Alicia

Potassium Permanganate, Dominican Desserts

I have a competition for the bowl of science tomorrow. Go Cosmic Desis. So we all got report cards today. Of course BASIS, being full of avid quizzards and assorted nerds, was buzzing and humming along just the way things should be on report card day. Children laughed, children cried, children danced in hallways, children showed off, bragged a little, got mad, screamed a little, it was a wide spectrum of emotions. This year I have been chosen to be a peer tutor, for which I am very excited. I tutor Friday mornings from 7:30 to 8:15 MST.

I would rather enjoy having more followers. Please tell your friends, friends of friends, and their pets to subscribe to the blog that started the trend: Through the Looking Glass, the original, no more, no less.

In other news, Happy Birthday, Mahatma Gandhi, you guided us through our toughest times. May the world never forget.

Expect another post over the weekend, but don't be disappointed if I don't, I'm busy, remember.

Zai Jian/Sayonara,

ALICIA THE GREAT
