Dasha sovsem mnogo sahara poela.

There is a hyper Russian person sitting next to me who talks really fast and is obsessed with wolfs rain. And who ate waaaaaaaaaay too much leftover halloween candy today. Yes, I CHANGED MY BLOG LAYOUT! PWN-NESS! MAJOR OSSIFICATION HAS JUST TAKEN PLACE, BEWARE!

Career plans and Sarah Plain's thinning hair...uh-oh...

I've extended the poll, so get more people to vote! This is my most important poll. It goes for only 3 days more, so vote vote vote! In other news, Sarah Palin has been experiencing hair loss because of stress. I have no idea why this was considered news-worthy by the Arizona Republic. Speaking of that, I forgot to tell you guys- I've been published! This happened in May, by the way, but I sent a letter to the editor of AZ Republic about budget cuts for education and it got published in the Scottsdale Republic! yay! I hope I'm on my way to becoming an award winning journalist. Or ambassador to some Asian country. Or a Professor of Constitutional law/ Supreme court justice. Or a politician, but like that's gonna happen. Seriously. Ooooh, or a novelist! Or maybe, I'll write a tell-all article and expose a presidential scandal that nobody knew about! Or, or, or, I'll be a volunteer and travel to different suffering countries and help educate the children there! I'll join the peace corps! THAT'S IT! I'll be an award winning journalist-politician who teaches underprivileged children constitutional law, and then write a memoir about my life! YESAH.

School. Among other things.

First of all, to whoever felt the need to make the impolite comment that my blog "sucks eggs" and also decided to go anonymous because of shame, and the fact that they feel they need to hide their probably ugly face and name from the world, to them I say- If the blog sucks eggs, my dear, then why are you wasting your precious time to comment on it? That shows that you care, moreover it shows that you are probably jealous of my blog's refined wisdom. I feel sorry for you and the fact that you have nothing better to do with your life than make crude remarks on a marvelous blog using juvenile and unoriginal vocabulary. Anyway, onto other, more pleasant, (or at least, more WORTHY) subjects....

School starts in approximately two weeks

In this sentence, notice how I have omitted the punctuation at the end. This is because I do not know what my attitude is toward this statement. Shall I add a morose and resentful period at the end of the sentence, dull, bland, and unexcited like a part of me is toward school? Or shall I pepper this sentence with an exclamatory mark, expressing my excitement at seeing my friends all in one place again, and having something interesting to do, and enjoying good satisfying classes, and having fun griping with peers about the boring ones? I do not know. Comment. What quotation shall I use? Once again, I cannot decide between the devout pessimism that makes one feel good after a nice long angry vent, that caitlin so often preaches, or the sunny bright side of things that makes you want to just sprinkle rainbow cupcakes with a magical fairy wand over the world to end hunger, that thomas deathlabutterfly deeply believes in.

In other news, poll closes tomorrow, vote if you have not already so we can define a winner, because currently it is a 4-way tie between canada, the u.s., costa rica, and mexico. And if Miss Caltra had voted honestly, canada would have been replaced with russia, a choice I included in the poll just because I knew she would choose it. Which she didn't. Nice job surprising me! And I mean that seriously, not sarcastically, even though it may sound cynical.

-Love,
Alice. (at least love to every one but anonymous, and to anonymous, I say this- you are a warped, dismal-dreaming lewdster and a puny swag-bellied clack-dish. How's that for creative, huh?)

Final goodbyes...

So tragic. I gotta say adiós to rica tomorrow. I had a great great great vacation other than the swine flu hassle. Costa rica is somewhat like India in a way, something unexplainable but existent. Saying goodbye to a country is like finishing a good novel. You know the soul of the country, it is tatooed on your heart forever, and you are frequently nostalgic about it (or maybe the nostalgia is just me, because you all know I live for the past). I don't want this novel to end, but I know I will be enriched by this and will never forget the shadowy volcano that lurks over the city of arenal, the zip lines of heaven and soaring, trekking through the dense forests of monteverde, frolicking on the gentle splashy beaches of guanacaste. Pura vida. This is truly pure life.

Great medical experience

I don't have the swine flu. I didn't need a doctor to tell me that. Not to mention I had to wait five hours with a sweaty face mask on. What the heck? And the guy was ready to stick a needle up my butt. Thank god I refused. The lady at the clinic stuck a rectal thermometer up my armpit. Uh, last time I checked, my pit wasn't my rear end. The lady wanted us out of her clinic asap due to her pregnancy. She was convinced I had influenza h1n1. She sent us all the way to Santa cruz for them to stick a needle in my arm. Never get sick in a third world country! At least it was all free.
